General Range Rules
(Note: Rules may differ between ranges.)
All minors must attend while being accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will sign all documents and stay with them at all times.
- Follow the Four Universal Gun Safety Rules:
- Treat all guns as though they are always loaded, and always perform a clearance check every time you pick one up!
- Never point your gun at anything you are not willing to destroy!
- Keep your finger OFF the trigger and outside the trigger guard until you are on target and have made the decision to shoot!
- Always be sure of your target and beyond!
- Never use drugs or alcohol before or during your stay on the range.
- No open-toe shoes shoes are allowed at the range. (Long pants and brimmed hats are highly recommended.)
- All shooters must wear eye and ear protection prior to entering the range.
- Firearms will be unloaded prior to entering and leaving the range with slides locked back and cylinders kept open.
- Firearms on the firing line will be pointed directly down-range at all times.
- Never move forward of the firing line while the range is still “hot”.
- Everyone is a Range Safety Officer! If you see a dangerous situation, call “Cease Fire!” and report to range staff immediately.
