Hello and welcome!

I’m Mark Burgard, the founder of Proeliator LLC.

I officailly started Proeliator in January of 2022 but it had it’s beginnings nearly 30 years ago.

While my primary career is as a technologist (developer, analyst, consultant – you know…a geek. 😊), I was a firearms instructor for most of my time in the U.S. Navy and continued as a law enforcement firearms instructor during my time with the Bremerton Police Deprtment in Bremerton, Washington.  While I took a break from training for a while (had to focus on my primary career, my education and most importantly,  start a family), I eventually renewed my firearms instructor certifications and added a few new certifications I felt would help me and my students.  I’ve been blessed to have trained a lot of fantastic people over the years.

I’ve trained students from ages 10 to 80+;  men, women, boys and girls;  groups of Scouts with their eyes wide open about getting to shoot a real gun for the first time all the way to seasoned S.W.A.T. team members trying to hone their skills and everything in between.  Either directly, or part of a team, I love to train people on how to become safe and proficient gun owners and gun users.

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve been asked by students for help assembling their own AR-platform rifle or pistol.  I’ve had even more requests about if I could get firearms for them.  This is why Proeliator exits today.  Proeliator is a coalescence of the training, custom firearm building, and firearm sales. (Proeliator has a  Type 07 – Manufacturer of Firearms Federal Firearms Licensee and is also a SOT, so can sell Title II / NFA firearms as well.)

Proeliator’s primary focus is training. As stated on our home page:

“Proeliator’s main goal is to equip individuals with the skills and tools necessary to take on the mantle of an elite protector.
A protector of their faith, country, community, family and lastly, themselves.
A protector that uses their intellect, convictions, and skills to defend what’s most important.”

If we can provide our students with excellent trainining and in the process offer them some great deals on firearms and services – that’s a win-win situation!

There are many reasons someone makes the decision to purchase a firearm:  protection of family and self, recreational shooting, competative shooting, hunting, or just executing their constitutional right.  Regardless of your reason(s), if you are going to bring a gun into your home, around your family and loved ones, you need to be competent to handle that responsibility safely.  Competency comes through education and experience. Whether you have never picked up a gun before or are a seasoned shooter with a safe full of guns, Proeliator has something for you.
