Sight Installation

Installing a red-dot sight is a relatively simple process, especially when you have a standard picatinny rail.  Our service not only includes the basic installation of the sight, but also includes validating the co-witness with the iron sights as well as laser bore sighting for the red-dot AND the iron sights.

We prefer to do these installations while you wait as they should take no longer than an hour.

Proeliator’s Steps to installing a Red-Dot Sight

• Schedule Appointment
  • A one-hour appointment should be sufficient

  • Custom to bring the following:
    • Rifle/Pistol
      • Unloaded & cased
    • Sight, with
      • all accessories, and
      • all documentation
    • Backup Iron Sight Set (if wanting them installed and properly co-witnessed)
• Identify best placement for red-dot sight
• Install the backup iron sights
• Install the red-dot sight
• Laser Bore Sight the iron sights
• Laser Bore Sight the red-dot sight
  (We use the SiteLite SL-500 Laser bore sighter along with the RealAvid VIZ-MAX Laser bore sighter for redundancy / verification.)
